Hair Designs

Here are just a few of the Hair Duos that i have done. I didn't start taking pictures till last year and sometimes forgot to bring my camera when doing them. I love doing hair, especially for Ballroom Dancers.

Here is the beginning stages before putting it into a bun and finishing it with stones or flowers.

I loved this Hair Duo! For this style i used cross-braiding.

This hair duo is all about the swirl!
This is a more simple swirl compared to others i have done.
I can make it as elaborate or simple.

This was another one of my favorites.
It is a more bubbly look and creates a cool effect.
I decided to try something that wasn't so smashed against the head.
She really wanted some volume and i think it worked!

Here is the back with a long bun. It was created to be longer on the left side.
She stuck a hair piece in later the covered the right side of her head.
It is a little hard to see, but the side the bun came up high on the left side to continue the line from the top of her head to the bottom of her head.

This hair duo is a bit hard to see. It was the hardest latin hair duo that i have done.
I couldnt believe that i accomplished a finger wave!
I have done it three times for her and looks great from the front.

I do charge a fee to do these hair duos. A lot of good hair stylist that do Ballroom Hair will charge a minimum $45-$50. Some day i may charge that much, but for now i charge $15 for an hour and $25 for two hours. Please contact me at ktreu.dancer@gmail.com to schedule a time.

This was one of my favorites. It is my magic finger wave! This was the second time i did this for Liss. I came up with it last Nationals and did it again for the November comp. A very creative hair duo for latin. We also put a large flower into her hair to give a finishing look. I wish i would have gotten the full look.

440 Contact Improve

Today was a very interesting day in dance. This would be my 440 dance class at BYU that i am talking about. Every Friday we have a "contact improve" dance day. I love these days. We create what ever we want. Today we started out dancing in three's. One girl would lye on the floor while the other two manipulate her arms and legs. The girl lying on the floor had the asignment to be vulnerable and relax. Her assignment was to shut the eyes and let the others move her body for her. It was an incredible experience. I discovered some places my leg had not visited in awhile and it felt good. After a min or two of this, it turned into more of a manipulative situation. The two girls controlling the third would just touch and she would react. Sooner or latter it turned into a contact improve dance between all three. We did this three times so that each girl would get a chance on the floor. I loved this activity! It helped remind me that it is ok to give your weight sometimes and let someone else be in control. I'm such a control freak and like to control situations like this. It was a very good reminder.
